The Highlights Book of Things to Do is quite an impressive book. So many wonderful ideas along with illustrations, pictures, step by step instructions, everything you need to know to knock out each activity. One thing I love about this book is that it not only has excellent ideas, but it also has activities and content around helping others and how to help change the world through small acts of kindness.

Use this book as a tool to not just fill time with your child, but to engage and get in on the activities! Learn along, but as always, let your child take the lead. Be there for encouragement and support, but do not take over. With your child leading, it will take longer than if you just did it yourself, but that's not the point, right? Ensure you have enough time set aside so you do not rush each activity. As always, but your phone and other distractions away and be 100% engaged and intentional.
