Plan a meal that you can cook with your child! Ensure it is easy to make and, of course, something they want to eat and therefore, will want to help!

The kitchen will get messy. It will take WAY longer than if you cooked by yourself. But, go into it with the mindset of it being a great way to spend intentional time with your child!
Sit down with them in advance to look through fun recipes and find something they can get excited about. The more they want to eat the final product, the more they will be engage in helping cook. After a while, if they enjoyed the process, continue to introduce more difficult/time consuming recipes.
